Siemon Awarded ISO 9001 Re-Certification
The Siemon Company, a technology leader in the telecommunications connecting hardware and structured cabling industry, is pleased to announce that it has received Re-Certification of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System Standard by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA).
LRQA conducted a full system audit of the Siemon Company’s Watertown, CT headquarters as well as its Sydney, Australia facilities at the end of September. The LRQA auditors were very impressed with many aspects of Siemon’s sytems and facilities, and awarded the company re-certification.
ISO 9000 is a series of quality management and quality assurance standards created by the International Organization for Standardization. This organization promotes standardization in order to improve the exchange of goods and services globally. ISO 9001 covers design, manufacturing, installation and servicing systems. Only 4% of mid- to large-size companies in the United States are ISO 9001 certified.
