New EMEA Headquarters in Chertsey
Siemon, the world-wide technology leader in network cabling systems and components has moved its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) headquarters to the centre of Chertsey.
The company's new office in Windsor Street is the base for its rapidly expanding presence in more than 65 other countries across the EMEA region.
Previously based in Knaphill, the company wanted to move to a more strategic location. Keith Astin, Managing Director of Siemon EMEA said: "We wanted to be closer to major transport links for our customers and the town centre location offers a greater variety of leisure, shopping and dining options for our staff."
The 101-year-old company remains privately owned by the Siemon family and has its global headquarters is in Watertown, Connecticut, USA.
The EMEA region is the focal point of much of Siemon's current investment. Keith Astin said: "We have opened offices in Paris, Frankfurt and Milan recruiting high-profile industry specialists as an extension to our existing resources in the UK."
President of Siemon, Carl N. Siemon says: "Over half our current demand generation and customer support spending is outside the US, enabling us to locally support our customers around the world. Today Siemon is able to provide local sales, marketing, technical support and educational services in every major market around the globe. This new location for our EMEA headquarters gives us a stronger foundation to serve our European customers, our channel partners and our employees."
With many industry firsts, including first to market with a fully copper and fibre cabling Category 6 product and the first standards-recognised industrial Ethernet connectivity, Siemon has established itself as a leader in the field of network cabling.
Siemon was also the first to offer a complete line of 10G products in January of 2003. With over 400 active patents specific to structured cabling, Siemon Labs invests heavily in R&D and development of industry standards, underlining the company's long-term commitment to its customers and the industry.
