NEW CONNECTORS AND PATCH CORDS FOR INDUSTRIAL PREMISES
The installation of high specification cabling in industrial environments is often challenging because of moisture, vibration, high temperatures and corrosive substances.
Siemon's new Industrial MAX 6 outlet and patch cords have been specifically designed to enable the reliable performance of category 6 network cabling solutions under industrial conditions.
The Industrial MAX 6 outlet and patch cords are ideal for protecting network connections in laboratories, hospitals, food processing plants and other harsh environments, while still providing category 6/class E performance for Ethernet and other industrial and IP-based applications.
Robert C. Carlson, Siemon VP of Global Marketing said: "We wanted to provide a seamless category 6 cabling solution from the office to the factory floor and beyond. We have achieved this by expanding our category 6 product range to offer a solution that works effectively in challenging environments."
The Industrial MAX 6 module and patch cord feature Siemon's high performance category 6 UTP RJ-45 connectors encased in a protective outer housing. The housing, made of heat-resistant thermoplastic, features a bayonet style mating design that easily and securely latches, offering a superior protective seal against solid and liquid contaminants.
Siemon's Industrial MAX is the first RJ-45 connector interface to become standardized by ISO/IEC and both the outlet and the patch cord are IP67-rated.
